The Robotic Sales Specialist grows robots and other end user products revenue. This is a technical sales position requiring both sales skills and drive as well as the ability to assemble, program and integrate proof of concepts. This robot position will overlap existing Sales Engineers territories so coordination with multiple SE’s will be needed. The growth of the robot product line will be driven through the identification and development of opportunities through demonstrations. These will lead to opportunities that will many times need to be proven to customers before purchase which this role will provide. 

 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Works with the Sales Engineer team to identify and close robot opportunities within the account base and add new accounts with marketing leads
  • Expected to be customer facing 75% of time demonstrating and presenting robotics and related products, Factory of the Future representative
  • Develop proof of concept development for furthering opportunities
  • Work with the UR Business Development Manager to quote solution and follow up vigorously
  • Develop a sales plan for each territory and interact with local Sales Engineer to develop and move towards current open opportunities, develop new targets and eventual close of the sale
  • Focus on lines 90% (UR-Majority, MIR, Cognex, LMI, Robotiq and other UR+)
  • Expected to schedule and be with customers for 6 visits a week on average
  • Reference the Sales Engineer to applications that are uncovered during your visits
  • Assistance with marketing events for demo setup and booth attendance
  • Input and knowledge of accessory product to assist sales team with accessory items for robots and lasers (end effectors, vision, stands etc.)

 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • Demonstrate sales skills and significant customer facing time
  • Ability to present & demo technical products in exciting fashion
  • Motivation for showing technology and presenting to customers
  • Prospecting skills to expand customer base
  • Engineering credibility with customers not just product knowledge
  • Sales Planning
  • Typically, an engineer or someone with automation experience
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in the industry preferred
