Motion & Control Sales Specialist

The Sales Specialist for Mitsubishi and motion control products is charged with the growth of Mitsubishi and motion control sales. This role must combine a high level of technical aptitude with a customer-first attitude in direct commercial customer interactions. This specialist will serve as the first-line liaison to Mitsubishi salespeople, regional managers, application engineers, and marketing personnel.  Within the Gibson organization, this role is a Mitsubishi champion, ensuring the outside sales team has the necessary support, education, and tools to promote and successfully sell the Mitsubishi product line and associated motion control products.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide Mitsubishi support to the Gibson outside sales team, which can include, but is not limited to:
    • Product support
    • Participation in join calls between Gibson team and Mitsubishi direct salespeople
    • Assist Gibson team on targeted sales opportunities
    • Provide or manage skills and product training
    • Analysis of commercial situations related to pricing and sales strategy
  • Provide internal and external product technology training and seminars across all sales territories
  • Ensure sales materials, brochures, demos, and samples are up to date and available to Gibson outside sales team
  • Establish direct customer relationships alongside Gibson’s outside sales team
  • Make final competitive pricing decisions for the organization that helps achieve growth goals
  • Help develop sales marketing content that can be used to capture new customers
  • Ensure Mitsubishi leads are properly explored and reported back to Mitsubishi
  • Maintain a complete and accurate sales pipeline in Zoho CRM

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Mitsubishi controls, HMI, robotics, and SCADA or similar software programming experience
  • General understanding of machine controls, visualization, robotics, sensors, safety and standards
