This position calls for a well-organized person who enjoys working with technology and people. This job requires good oral and written communication skills, Microsoft Office applications proficiency, and a professional and courteous personality. The preferred candidate will have an aptitude toward attention to detail with electrical and mechanical skills and interest in future growth.  




  • Understand BOM structure and advise if discrepancies found
    • Inspect parts for flaws and imperfections
  • Interpret and participate on development of work instructions
  • Assemble parts for electromechanical components used in automation product, based on provided instructions, hand tools and fixtures if needed
    • Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies
    • Torque fasteners to proper spec and sequence
    • Route cables and wiring through systems
    • Attach labels or name plates to assemblies, components, or cables
    • Measure dimensions/clearance of parts
  • Build cables and electrical wiring
    • Solder or crimp electrical components
  • Operate entry level power machines
    • Drill and tap bolt holes
    • Tap or ream bolt holes
  • Inspect and test sub-assemblies
    • Test for mechanical reliability
    • Test electrical functionality
    • Test software loaded to components 
  • Assist Olympus personnel with miscellaneous tasks including but not limited to packaging and general support
  • Perform daily cleanup of production work area
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities like 5S as assigned




  • Able to work in both in a team or self-environment
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings
  • Solder, and wire crimping
  • Use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and determine tolerances
  • Use of hand power tools
  • Basic computer use, MS Office familiarity
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more  
  • 40 hours per week 
  • Follows Olympus Controls safety policies
  • High school diploma, technical schooling preferred with at least 2 years of industrial/technical experience
