What you’ll do:
The Project Manager’s role is to manage several of our more complex automation projects simultaneously while working with their internal and external project teams. Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills and technical skills are required. Scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining scope are a must. Additional details about what you will be doing includes:
- Ability to stay well-organized and manage scope, schedule, and budget for multiple projects concurrently
- Develop and coordinate engineering/technician resource requirements with Design Engineering Manager, Production Manager and Director of Operations
- Track time and material expenditures to perform comprehensive financial postmortems
- Lead weekly customer-facing cadence calls
- Produce and deliver weekly project status reports to upper management and customers
- Identify gating materials and coordinate with engineering and buyer groups to identify alternatives and mitigate schedule risks

Requirements:
- BS in engineering or another technical field highly preferred
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred, or ability to obtain certificate within 1st year of employment
- Understanding of PMBOK is desired
- 2+ years of relevant project management experience preferred or a commensurate combination of experience in a related automation/project support role
- Ability to work on intermediate projects/matters with limited supervision
- Ability to run customer meetings with good project knowledge (some follow up required)
- Computer literacy and Microsoft Office experience is a must
- Experience with Wrike is a plus
- Experience in PDM, ERP (i.e. Syspro), CAD (i.e. SolidWorks) software systems is a plus
- Experience reading mechanical, electrical drawings is a plus
- Understanding principles of software code is a plus
- Possess an understanding of automation technology or a desire to learn
