Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Invoice verification & coding.
  • Purchase order verification.
  • Research and resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies.
  • Enter approved invoices into accounting system.
  • Scan processed invoices into document management system.
  • Communicate with vendors in courteous and professional manner
  • Follow up and reconcile vendor statements and purchase order reports.
  • Phone and mail support for AP department and front-desk as needed.
  • Position works closely with management and staff members in multiple offices.
  • Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.


Essential Mental Functions:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Able to perform basic math quickly and accurately.
  • Able to pull similar data from multiple document types.
  • Able to display customer service skills and tact when interacting with customers.
  • Proficient with 10-key and data entry.


Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly desired.  Years of previous experience can be substituted for parts of this requirement.
  • 2 - 4+ year’s previous experience in Accounts Payable required.
  • Strong background in Invoices, both Purchase Order & Non Purchase Order invoices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, as well as Outlook.


    Work Environment:

  • Standard multi-function office environment in an industrial environment; business casual dress code.
