As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for business development within all customer segments and vertical markets for pump products and services. The Business Development Manager will be accountable for pump and pump services sales growth across the Applied and FCX business platforms utilizing a cooperative consultative approach. Business plan development, program management, vendor coordination and relations, new customer acquisition, and sales organization technical support and training are key components of the role. The primary focus of this position is to generate sustainable, profitable growth across Applied/FCX business units primarily in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Responsibilities:
- Business Plan Development
- Apply knowledge to create and execute FCX Performance’s strategic growth plans around vendors, products, and end-market penetration strategies with FCX/AIT cross sell.
- Marketing and Sales Management Support
- Cooperatively create and execute engagement plans with AIT Service Centers and FCX sales teams within the assigned territory to identify and engage high potential accounts or targets to achieve sales and profit goals.
- Use your knowledge of process pump and rotating equipment solutions combined with customer management skills to define and offer technical solutions to customers.
- Confer with customers and supplier representatives along with Applied or FCX resources to prepare and present flow control solutions to both internal associates and customers to drive new business.
- Provide technical support to the FCX/AIT distributor sales force on sales opportunities through cooperative (joint) sales efforts.
- Participate in Professional Organizations specific to product/market applications.
- Share application information and significant wins within the organization.
- Oversight and Supervision of Project Pursuits and Proposals
- Engineering and Design.
- Project Take Off, Specification and Product Recommendations.
- Functional description design review.
- Startup and Commissioning.
- Vendor Partner Relations
- Collaborate with the Vendor Development Team to utilize and expand professional working relationships with key supplier resources to help specify products and systems that will enhance customer performance.
- Conduct or participate in routine business review with key principle and field sales leaders.
- Education Support for AIT/FCX Performance Team and Market
- Conduct product and service-related training for internal associates to increase knowledge of process pumps and demonstrate expertise and value.
- Assist with training seminars at customer facilities to establish knowledge of our pump and service offerings.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Engineering or comparable experience
- 5+ years of sales experience in specific product category with proven track record of applying solutions to variety of process market applications.
- Demonstrated history of achieving sales objectives, knowledgeable of company’s products and solutions
- Interpersonal skills suitable for participation in engineering, office and production-based teams.
Travel:
Travel requirements will range from 50-75%
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
