Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Resolve 80% of assigned Tier-1 Support Requests within 1 business day
  • Resolve 95% of assigned Tier-1 Support Requests within 5 business days
  • Assign 95% of Support tickets to appropriate personell within 2 business hours.
  • Process 90% of IT Purchase requests to POs within 1 business day
  • Process 90% of returned POs to orders within 1 business day
  • Complete 95% of equipment and accounts for new employees within assigned sprint plan
  • Above support and purchase goals include but are not limited to these additional tasks:
    • Arrange for shipment of repair parts as required
    • Order and prepare equipment for new employees as necessary.
    • Document all support and resolution details in the support database.
  • Provide professional, customer oriented telephone support to internal & external customers.
  • Support other departments as the needs arise.
  • Participate in training and improvement meetings.
  • Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.

 

Essential Physical Functions/Equipment Used:

  • Must be able to work off hours and/or weekends on a short notice basis based on business needs.
  • Able to operate standard office equipment, namely computer, phone, printer/copier/scanner; in addition to operating advanced technology including servers, networks, LifeSize, etc.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time while viewing computer screen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience providing technical support in network infrastructure, hardware, software, communications and OS on desktop and off-site server platforms.
  • MCP certification strongly preferred.
  • Support knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, ISS, DHCP, File/Print Services and Terminal Services.
  • Support and maintenance of firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Competence in back-up and disaster recovery techniques.
  • Knowledge of Prophet21 support procedures.

 

Work Environment:

  • Office is located in Corporate Headquarters in Columbus, OH.  Consists of a modern, multi-function office environment. 
  • Normal working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday; Additional hours as needed.
