Process Filtration Business Development Manager

Responsible for business development within all customer segments and vertical markets for filtration products.  The Business Development Manager will be accountable for sales growth through business plan development, program management, vendor coordination and relations, new customer acquisition, and sales organization technical support and training.  The primary focus of this position is to generate sustainable, profitable growth across FCX region, branch or divisions. 



  • Business Plan Development
    • Apply knowledge to create and execute FCX Performance’s strategic growth plans around vendors, products and end-market penetration strategies
    • Set Core Vendor or Service Targets
    • Value Proposition Development
  • Vendor Partner Relations
    • Develop and maintain strategic alignment with assigned core vendor(s)
    • Conduct routine business reviews with key principle and field sales leaders
    • Mutual Action Plan Development and Implementation
    • Ensure mutual accountability to key objectives and KPI’s
  • Marketing and Sales Management Support
    • Collaborate with Regional VP’s, Divisional Sales Managers, and sales team members in the execution of tactical sales plans, implement recovery plans to close gaps as needed;
    • Assist salesmen and division managers to drive large customer / project opportunities that may require a more ‘global’ approach
    • Provide leadership and direction for product specialists or other technical sales support team members
    • Support of FCX distributor sales force on sales opportunities through cooperative (Joint) Sales Efforts
      • Proactive Field Sales and Customer acquisition
      • Engage in Professional Presentations, Lunch & Learns, Demos, Shows
      • Customer relationship management
      • Support the establishment of customer Contracts
    • Development of Marketing Materials
    • Participate in Professional Organizations specific to product / market applications
    • Share application information and significant wins with organization
  • Oversight and Supervision of the following, as relates to project pursuits and proposals:
    • Project Execution / Project Management
    • Engineering and Design.
    • Project Take Off, Specification and Product Recommendations 
    • Functional description design review.
    • Startup and Commissioning.
    • Perform FAT activities as needed to support delivery schedules.
    • Support sales force.
    • Assist in the growth and design of company standard core logic.
    • Service existing clients.
    • Promote FCX Services.
  • Education support for FCX Performance Team and Market Place
    • Liaison between core vendors and FCX Performance Team
    • Establish training programs for sales and sales support team including inside sales and warehouse
    • Training seminars at customer facilities
    • Provide training and presentation material for sales team
      • Deep dive subject matter
      • Quick reference material
    • Communicate product segment advancements to the team and market



  • BS Degree in Engineering or comparable experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience in specific product category with proven track record of applying solutions to variety of process market applications
  • Demonstrated history of achieving sales objectives, knowledgeable of companies products and solutions
  • Interpersonal skills suitable for participation in engineering, office and production based teams.



Travel requirements will range from 50-75%
