Compressor Technician

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on oil-injected and oil-free air compressors in FCX actuation facility or customer plant locations.
- Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, inspect, and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment
- Prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs, test and document the proper operating parameters of the compressor.
- Display the ability to manage time accordingly. Must have the ability to work and solve problems independently.
- Complete field service worksheets and submit to job coordinator upon completion of work.
- Obtain all site specific and safety related training to perform service repairs.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates Degree/Technical Degree preferred.
- 1-3 year’s previous control valve and pump experience desired; experience with hydraulics/pneumatics helpful but not required.
- Basic computer proficiency required, namely the ability to operate Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of required equipment, including hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, etc.
- Clean driving record.
Work Environment:
- Standard warehouse environment; including machine shop, paint booth, equipment operation, shipping & receiving, inventory area.
