Assembly Technician

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Build all assemblies as required by customer, including but not limited to:
    • Analyzing work order to determine proper parts, specifications, and timeframe.
    • Locating specified parts in the warehouse.
    • Locating parts to work area.
    • Handling parts in a proper & safe manner consistent with FCX standards.
    • Sign off on all FCX Certified/Factory calibration jobs.
  • Resolve all discrepancies related to valve assembly (linkage, part#, orientation, etc).
  • Insure 100% of production orders are shipped on or before date acknowledged to customer.
  • Conduct customer inspections when required.
  • Communicate all issues with sales team and work together to resolve and meet acknowledged ship date.
  • Keep warehouse and shop areas looking professional and clean to minimize any and all safety risks.
  • Assist others as required.
  • Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.


Essential Physical Functions/Equipment Used:

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 75lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to, or possess ability to learn how to, operate large warehouse equipment; namely forklifts.
  • Must be able to work off hours, weekends, and OT on a short notice basis based on business needs.
  • Knowledge of rigging, lifting and moving heavy and awkward products.
  • Able to work in abnormal (heat/cold/clean room) operating conditions.


Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a mechanical field conducting a combination of new part assembly, installation, testing, and repair.
  • Background in hydraulics or pneumatics helpful.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of required equipment, including hand tools, power tools, etc.

Work Environment:

Standard warehouse environment; including machine shop, paint booth, equipment operation, shipping & receiving, inventory area.
