Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provide management, expertise, leadership, training, and coaching to all branch employees including:
    • Introductory, Quarterly, & Annual Performance feedback/reviews, as well as coaching and performance improvement plans.
    • Weekly, Quarterly, and Annual Sales meetings as well as setting Sales Goals for given intervals.
    • Sales Tactics, Customer Service Advice, and Product Expertise to enhance overall sales environment.
    • Ongoing development of Inside & Outside Sales teams.
  • Call on and, when necessary, entertain Engineers, Contractors, and Industrial Clients to facilitate better customer relationships and help promote ongoing business partnerships.
  • Be strategic, organized, and technologically savvy in your approach to managing your sales team & territory including, but not limited to:
    • Planning sales calls to achieve maximum customer face time each day.
    • Use of LinkedIn and other social networks to track current and potential customers, network with potential and existing customer contacts, and perform new customer research.
  • Collaborate with sales team members on strategic plans and accurate forecasts for sales territory and assigned accounts using previous sales, industry, and market data.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Industrial Distribution, Engineering & Management, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Sales/Marketing; equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Minimum 5-7+ years’ experience in Outside Sales/Account Manager/Territory Manager role within the industrial marketplace required.
    • Minimum 2+ years in a Sales Management role required; demonstrated ability to manage diverse sales team.
  • Previous experience with Process Flow Control equipment required; Valves (Control, Ball, Butterfly, Gate, etc.), Instrumentation, Actuators, and Hoses strongly desired.
