Corrosion Fluid Power, an Applied Industrial Technologies subsidiary, is currently looking for a Manual Machinist to join our family. We say "family" because Applied has been fortunate to keep associates for 20, 30, 40+ years. 25% of our U.S. team has 20 or more years of service with Applied. In this role you’ll machine parts and use your knowledge and experience from working on manual machine.  You’ll be able to leverage your experience in your background and to help us to please our customers and gain new ones.


We’ll look to you to lead the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industry’s best sales team.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as manual/vertical lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.  Additional training will be provided.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
  • Responsible for the final inspection on product before shipment.
  • Keep warehouse and shop areas looking professional and clean.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • Ability to work on all brands of pumps, valves, motors, and cylinders
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of equipment like lathes, mills, grinders, micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 75 lbs
