Bay Advanced Technologies, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking a Global Business Unit Manager to contribute to the growth of key accounts in the Semiconductor / Capital Equipment manufacturing space. 

 

More about your role

 

Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, you will promote sales growth of all Bay AT products and services within the key accounts and supporting sub tiers. As Global Business Unit Manager, you are a member of the strategic leadership team and will work with other leaders to establish the strategic direction of the organization.  You will be expected to develop and implement tactical plans and complete complex assignments with minimal supervision to meet the objectives set by the organization.

You will play an integral role at all levels to insure continuous improvement of customer service, quote responsiveness, and general team efficiencies.  You will manage the performance, development, and rewards for multiple disciplinary direct reports.  The Global Business Unit Manager will collaborate with the Business Development team on sales strategy and will support their efforts in securing new business.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage Account Managers supporting the key accounts
  • Manage Customer Service team supporting the key accounts
  • Manage Quotation activities related to key accounts
  • Manages and drives the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process with key accounts
  • Promote and maintain a spirit of teamwork among Sales and Operations teams
  • Work with your fellow supervisors and managers in a cooperative manner to accomplish overall company goals
  • Travel to visit key customer and suppliers, attend product-training classes.  Expected travel is approximately 20% annually
  • Keep current on all competitive activity, product developments, and report significant actions to VP of Business Development
  • Participate in regular management and quality meetings and report out on strategic objectives and challenges
  • Nurture and expand vendor relationships. Consult with marketing, purchasing and inventory management on group product concerns
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in the semiconductor or related fields
  • 5+ years’ of management experience
  • 5+ years’ customer facing sales experience

Desired characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business
  • Team player with desire to coach, council and support all personnel
  • Effective communicator with strong written and oral English skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive
  • Technical product knowledge
  • General sales skills
