Overview:

As Branch Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations of our Billings Branch while also providing technical and sales support of the outside sales team and our customers to meet/exceed P&L metrics.

This position reports directly to our General Manager.
 

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct, plan, and manage overall branch operations and sales support activities to meet / exceed P&L objectives
  • Hire, train, & develop strong performing team players. Champion leadership competencies
  • Lead training for sales expertise & product knowledge. Ensure high level customer relations including sales calls and pricing / inventory negotiations as necessary.
  • Partner with sales force to develop and execute sales and business strategies. Provide feedback on the branch sales force account assignments, monitor and review sales performance, including goals achievement, margins, and territory management. Assume direct responsibility for accounts as required by business conditions.
  • Prepare and develop annual branch operating budget reports including items such as forecasts, sales, margins, expenses, productivity and inventory.
  • Monitor pricing, purchasing, and contract adherence
  • Manage inventory and receivables, expenses, inventory matching and accuracy, budget, profit/loss and sales. Analyze branch results and implement changes as necessary.
  • Provide coaching on the company’s customer service policies and procedures to ensure consistent customer service and satisfaction. Assist with resolving all non-conforming orders and issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and timely records of business transactions
  • Utilizing key metrics to evaluate and recommend best practices for operations and associate development
  • Leadership by example. Create a positive, dynamic, and fun work environment


Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years proven sales or customer service leadership / management experience in a business-to-business transactional environment. Supervisory/management experience preferred
  • Fluid power (hydraulic and/or pneumatic) experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Leadership experience, team building. Repair shop or quality control experience preferred
  • Ability to read / understand technical drawings.
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn
  • Written and verbal communications, including English grammar
  • Ability / desire to quickly learn new processes and systems. Analytical skills
  • Organizational, problem solving, multitasking, sense of urgency, sense of humor
  • Solid computer skills including Excel
  • High school diploma or GED. Some college or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Warehouse and/or inventory knowledge preferred
  • ERP / Epicor / P21 experience, a plus
