We are seeking a skilled Purchasing and Inventory Control Coordinator to join Spencer Fluid Power, an Applied Industrial Technologies company. This professional will be responsible for handling the procurement of products and inventory management functions using our state-of-the-art system.



  • Monitor and maintain appropriate product stocking levels through use of the company’s ERP system and other available information.
  • Maintain accurate product data within the company ERP system.
  • Prepare and place purchase orders for products and services.
  • Measure and manage supplier performance.
  • Coordination of cycle counts and investigation and correction of discrepancies.
  • Coordination of returns to suppliers.
  • Management of obsolete inventory levels.
  • Perform various reporting duties to suppliers and internal employees.
  • Perform office functions as necessary



  • Knowledge and understanding of commonly used purchasing and inventory control practices/procedures
  • Basic to intermediate level computer skills


  • Experience in distribution or manufacturing environment
