Accounts Receivable Clerk

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is an integral part of the finance team. Reporting to the Spencer Fluid Power Controller, it is a hands-on role providing detail transactional posting and customer account reconciliations and billing support for a multi-company accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, basic accounting principles, experience with ERP accounting software (P21 or other large-scale ERP software) and ability to work in high production environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of incoming payments
  • Daily bank deposit reconciliations and activity management
  • Customer call support for account questions
  • Run daily customer invoicing and monthly customer balance statements
  • Prepare monthly cash reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate balancing of intercompany receivables
  • Review and address unapplied cash and short paid customer invoices
  • Support collections activities, including communication with customers for overdue accounts
  • Support call maintenance in ERP system for traceability of customer collection calls
  • Perform complex customer account reconciliations
  • Monitor COD account payments and ensures accurate postings
  • Develop and maintain reports and files on accounts receivable processing.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years proven work experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with ERP automated accounting systems preferred
  • Strong, proven Excel skills
  • High school diploma​​​​​​​
