<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are seeking a skilled Buyer/Purchasing Associate. This professional will be responsible for handling the procurement of products and assisting the project management team using our state-of-the-art system.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">As a Buyer/Purchasing Associate, you will perform a variety of duties required. Your duties will include: 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Update, verify, change and complete purchase requisitions (buy reports or purchasing requests) by comparing items requested to actual demand, minimum requirements and usage trend
  • Compile technical documents for power unit department
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Obtain quotes from vendors/suppliers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsible for communicating with the sales team/customer service department on backorders.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Resolve inventory discrepancy issues with vendors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Complete weekly or daily assigned reports, e.g. negative bin, new item, stock bin, etc.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Help maintain ERP system costs in our system.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Coordination of returns to suppliers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Assist the project management department


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Attention to detail: accurate data entry skills, basic math & reading skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Intermediate level Microsoft Excel experience 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Preferred: 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">6+ months purchasing experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience in distribution or manufacturing environment 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Desired characteristics: 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Demonstrated teamwork, productivity, accuracy, and professionalism
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
