General Purpose: To contribute to the growth and profitability of the company by managing the staff and systems which comprise Purchasing and Inventory Management.

Position responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily activities of JIT Contracts/Inventory and Purchasing depts.
  • Assist the VP-Sales with quoting, negotiating, and developing logistics for the JIT Contracts programs.
  • Attend customer meetings.
  • Analyze Obsolete/Dead Stock reports and administer disposal programs.
  • Work closely with Buyers to insure the inventory levels satisfy customer service requirements, while maximizing inventory performance.
  • Develop, monitor and publish monthly inventory performance reports for all Bay AT and AIS warehouse locations.
  • Publish Contract Sales Performance reports each month.
  • Write and maintain procedures for the Materials Group.
  • Coordinate training of all Materials Group personnel.
  • Work closely with Production Manager to assist in resolving material issues to ensure improved customer service.
  • Develop and maintain Training & Performance matrixes in accordance with HR policies.
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews.
  • Oversee Material Review Board activities.
  • Maintain SOP 6 and SOP 13 in accordance with SBOS policies.
  • Maintain Vendor Shipment Performance and provide monthly reports to the Executive Staff.
  • Maintain Discrepant Material Report and provide monthly reports to Executive Staff.
  • Maintain Critical Parts Report.
  • Conduct Supplier Measurement Surveys in coordination with Buyers in accordance with established SBOS procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the VP of Operations.
  • Interface with other Department Managers.

  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Excel including good keyboarding skills
