In this role you’ll supports Quality Assessment/Diagnostic role to evaluate returned engineering mechanical/electrical systems and co-ordinates upgrade with Engineering and Operations personnel.

Documents reports and performs ERP system updates and follows quality management system protocols for corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and implement continuous improvements for products and processes leading to achieve highest customer satisfaction.

 

More About Your Role:

 

  • Evaluate RMA failure analysis reports (performed by RMA Technicians) for customers and communicates with customers on issues as needed.
  • Provide timely status updates to customers/suppliers on RMA analysis.
  • Works closely with Final Test team to enforce/meet outgoing quality metrics.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve product quality issues on purchased components.
  • Update documents in the Document Control and Quality Management Systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement CAPA (corrective/preventive actions) as needed
  • Maintain RMA log sheet and extract proper metrics for reporting.
  • Work closely with Engineering to implement needed product engineering documents’ updates for quality improvement.

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Self-starter and driven
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485 Quality Management Systems and practices.
  • Knowledge of Engineering practices and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate – both verbal and written.
  • The ability to multi-task and handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Good interpersonal skills, motivation drive and initiative.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with mechanical CAD software programs a plus.
  • Must be a team player and dependable.
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Excel.
  • Experience with ERP, PLM systems desirable.
  • Ability to understand mechanical drawings for pneumatic and electronic control sub-systems.
  • Ability to map manufacturing and test processes to identify gaps causing product quality non-conformances
  • Ability to set SMART goals and execute on a timely basis.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated pay range for the position at the Newark, CA location is $80,000 - $92,000 annual depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities. Bonus amounts are tied to location and company performance is generally 10% of base, though no specific amount is guaranteed.
