We are hiring a Technical Account Manager/Sales Trainee (Syracuse/Albany, NY), where our team trains you to be successful from start to finish!

As the world’s largest fluid power distributor, our systems are comprised of a myriad of components, including pumps, cylinders, valves, hose, fittings, gauges, sensors and more. We are seen in markets that include packaging, mining, offshore/marine, medical, material handling, construction, aerospace, automation and robotic arenas.

The Technical Account Manager/Sales Trainee position will participate in a robust training program, one that will equip you with a thorough understanding of our industry, products, sales process and customers. By learning the business with a combination of inside and field sales, this position will progress to an autonomous outside sales role within a defined time frame.

Our personalized training program is open to outside sales reps or recent or soon to be graduates who desire a career in sales with a focus on selling Industrial, Fluid Process and Mobile Hydraulic technologies. What you’ll do:

  • You’ll spend your time interacting with our customers in determining their fluid power needs, while providing solutions to meet those needs.
  • Achieve sales and profit goals by developing existing customers and opening new business.
  • Develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals, follow up and negotiate terms, and close transactions.

We seek:

  • Success minded and a strong desire to build a technical outside sales career with us!
  • Prioritization-planning and time management skills that can be developed to succeed as an outside sales representative.
  • Mechanical/Technical aptitude;
  • Background in sales or customer service relations skills is a plus!


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus but equivalent experience/certifications can be substituted for degree requirement.
