We are seeking a proven leader in New Business Development Leader to build and oversee our geographically focused Regional Hunters across the country. This opportunity has a significant opportunity for growth.

 

As an Applied Maintenance Supplies and Solutions, New Business Development Leader, you will achieve your sales goals and margins by building a strong new business development team across the country. Using your knowledge of the industrial marketplace, strategic selling, and best practices in lead generation and sales pipeline to lead multiple associates strategically and tactically. You will build on your strengths and think outside of the box while meeting / exceeding productivity objectives at both the top and bottom line. This is a highly visible position at Applied®.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage and exceed P & L goals from: sales, profit margins, business development, and customer development.
  • Hire, develop, and coach Regional Business Development Assoicates from new hires to veteran personnel. Use leadership by example.
  • Plan, implement, and manage strategic account agreements and programs using high level selling and negotiating skills 
  • Create and give presentations to current and potential accounts; create and prepare reports as requested by customer or management
  • Act as a liaison between account manager and customers; regional and district sales management in selling value of agreements to local customer facilities; keep customer advised of developments; handle complaints, work with corporate, and customer personnel to correct problems and meet the needs of targeted customers.
  • Drive key account growth personally and through others.
  • Anticipate or investigate problems and take corrective action
  • Provide Regional Business Development Associates with business development and account management training
  • Monitor pricing, purchasing and contract adherence for the company

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 5+ years of proven sales management with business development, and repeat business too many different markets.
  • Proven success in developing and leading a team to accomplish area and companywide goals, including hiring, training, and coaching.
  • Have the ability to call on end users as well as senior management
  • Willing to travel overnight 75-80% of the time. 
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivelent Work Experience 
  • Solid computer skills
  • Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Maintenance, Repair, Operations, Industrial product knowledge a plus!
