The Director of Operations role operates as a hands-on leader, having an immediate impact on our distribution centers and overall operational cost and productivity requirements to help the business grow, making an immediate impact on sustained continuous improvement and enhanced business results. 


You will be responsible for driving daily fulfillment requirements through the 7 MSS distribution centers, developing and implementing the long-range operation priorities to positively impact customer service, profitable sales growth, margin expansion, cost productivity and working capital improvements. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead MSS Operation’s resources and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement with a focus on Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity and Safety.
  • Develop and Implement the long-range Operations priorities to positively impact customer service, profitable sales growth, margin expansion, cost productivity and working capital improvements.
  • Drive successful integration of technology systems to support operational outcomes.
  • Implement standards of work for improved efficiency and effectiveness within the organizational functions by developing and implementing clear roles & responsibilities, consistent business transactions/processes.
  • Business leader to facilitate compliance and controls in Applied MSS business, including development of and adherence to well defined and documented policies & procedures.
  • Partnering with the sales organization, establish key customer satisfaction metrics (KPIs) to baseline and measure performance.  Define and implement required improvements, processes and systems to enhance customer service and profitability – for local customers and large nation integrated accounts
  • Coach and develop future leaders to ensure succession pipelines are robust for future growth and buildout.


Professional Qualifications: 

  • The successful candidate will possess leadership experience.  
  • Business savvy with the ability to quickly gain an understanding of business including its strategy, customers and markets.  
  • Demonstrated experience and background in leadership as well as a proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble a motivated high performance team.  The successful candidate should be energetic, down to earth and forward thinking with high ethical standards and the appropriate professional demeanor and presence.
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to bring immediate credibility to the organization through his/her professional qualifications and leadership skills. Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills as well as proven organizational skills are required. 
  • Practical work experience in dealing with a decentralized business model is preferred.



  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field is and a MBA is preferred.
  • The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience within Operations or Fulfillment.
