Project Foreman/Supervisor

EADS Distribution LLC, dba TSI Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Electrician Foreman with verifiable experience or with a journeyman's card. This is a salary-exempt position. Candidates must be able to work out of town at assigned job sites located throughout Georgia and the southeast. Must have a clear understanding of electrical codes/ regulations and OSHA requirements and will manage the work in a manner to exceed internal and external customer expectations.  Candidates must be willing to work overtime and work holidays and weekends when required. Be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently, and demonstrate proficiency in typical electrical assignments.

 

The general electrical foreman requirements for this position include:

  • Must have a “Safety First” mentality and attitude and incorporate into your everyday work ethic and routine.
  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient with all OSHA electrical safe work practices.
  • Must be a motivator of others and possess the needed leadership skills and techniques to direct and mentor various workers and crews.
  • Must also be able to work autonomously as a single electrician on a given project.
  • 5 or more years of electrical experience in industrial applications. Experience designing and installing electrical heat trace is a big plus!
  • Prior construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience in industrial facilities are necessary.
  • Must have working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E.
  • Must be comfortable working at elevated heights and operating man lifts, aerial lift and
  • Should be able to precisely measure, bend, cut and thread rigid conduit up to 2 inches.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of low voltage electrical devices and terminations.
  • Must have complete understanding of Ohms Law and possess the ability to troubleshoot control circuits.
  • Some instrumentation knowledge is preferred.
  • Understanding of conductor selection and voltage drop calculations.
  • Must be experienced with installing electrical power distribution systems such as panel boards, disconnects, transformers, cable trays and conduit and wire runs.
  • Prior supervisory experience as a job foreman is a plus.
  • Since assignments are on client sites, candidates must be very client focused, committed to excellence, and generate high quality work. Individuals must have completed formal training or apprenticeship, or have equivalent related experience. An electrical license is a plus. (Those possessing only residential or commercial electrical experience need not apply).
