Accounts Payable Supervisor

Summary Description:  The position will provide leadership, and guidance to the Accounts Payable team at Applied Corporate.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provides day to day leadership and guidance to team members.
  • Leads team development, including the selection, performance management (KPIs), coaching, ongoing feedback and implementation of short and long-term objectives for the teams.
  • Seeks ways to leverage team to improve process and efficiencies as well as understand and address the root cause of problems.
  • Analyzes and documents business processes and problems. Develops solutions to enhance efficiencies including partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve required results.
  • Maintains a “clean” A/P Aging by working with internal personnel as well as suppliers on any issues and discrepancy.  
  • Resolves escalated issues from site personnel and/or vendors/suppliers.  Coaches staff to resolve complex or out of policy operational problems, disputes, payment terms and non-compliance
  • Responsible for ensuring proper internal controls are in place and are consistently being monitored.  


Performs other duties as assigned.  This position requires significant AP as well as SAP experience and knowledge. 



  • Must have of Accounts Payable administration and processing experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration – preferred, must have a HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a shared services / centralized services environment.



  • Over 5 years of Accounts Payable administration and processing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI, Electronic Commerce, Automated Workflow and Travel & Entertainment.
