Customer Success Manager

Applied Industrial Technologies (NYSE: AIT) is building out an exciting and entirely new digital ecommerce group to champion our next phase of online growth. We are looking for a Customer Success Manager to influence customer retention and lifetime value as part of this new initiative. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the newly acquired customers maintain an order cadence with Applied® over their lifetime.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Use a digital first strategy to expand our revenue in accounts through cross-sell and up-sell
  • Employ systematic listening points to gauge the satisfaction of the customer relationship
  • Leverage marketing automation technology to engage with customers at scale
  • Define segmentation of the customer base and vary the sales strategy accordingly
  • Leverage marketing automation technology to enhance the relationship with the customer
  • Provide proactive professional sales support to maximize customer loyalty
  • Remain in regular contact with customers to understand and meet their needs
  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction and maintain the company’s reputation
  • Keep detail records of sales and data with the CRM
  • Engage with customers through email, chat, phone, video, and SMS
  • Achieve company goals of sales qualified lead conversion to customer
  • Manage customer retention and maintain an average annual spend per customer

 
Requirement:

  • Proven experience in a customer success role
  • Outstanding digital aptitude
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate
