Director - Treasury and Cash Management

The Director of Treasury and Cash Management is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis efforts related to treasury, monitoring and mitigating financial risk, and performs daily cash management activities.  This leader will work closely with Accounts Payable, Tax, General Accounting and the Financial Reporting teams.  This candidate will have a proven record of working with the business to implement process improvements and best practices in the area of cash management.



  • Responsible for strategy development, implementation and daily management of treasury and cash control activities for the global Applied businesses. 
  • Oversees central services payroll and incentive compensation management. 
  • Executes on and helps to develop and implement enhanced policies and procedures ensuring financial controls and compliance with company, Board and regulatory requirements.
  • Leads bank card and other treasury initiative programs designed to drive financial benefit and or efficiencies for Applied.
  • Develops and manages banking relationships and conducts analytical reviews of banking services and fees. 
  • Responsible for cash forecasting and short-term borrowing and investing-decision making.  Ensures that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements while minimizing borrowing costs.
  • Responsible for the payroll department, including the preparation and payment of all corporate payroll taxes (outsourced), as well as incentive program and related accrual management and reporting.
  • Responsible for the review of banking agreements and routine monitoring / reporting to ensure compliance with all debt covenants.
  • Ensures that access to assets within area of responsibility is permitted only in accordance with general or specific authorization.
  • Hires, trains and develops associates following company standards and policies.  Conducts associate performance reviews regularly, establishes individual goals and monitors achievement, and ensures completion of relevant training.
  • Work closely with other departments or divisions on matters of mutual concern and responsibilities, including M&A diligence, cut-over planning and integration.
  • Manages hedging to mitigate financial risks related to interest rates on the company's borrowings.
  • Coordination of initiatives for new equity and/or debt financing
  • Monitor the activities of third parties handling outsourced treasury functions on behalf of the company.
  • Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning.






    Master’s degree preferred, Bachelors in related business fields a minimum requirement, along with 7 to 10 years of related work experience.
