Scope of Responsibility

  • Develop and execute indirect spend strategies for categories including office supplies, uniforms, waste removal, multifunction devices, temporary labor, travel, and others.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and the Legal department to develop purchase contracts and consulting and professional services agreements beneficial to the organization.
  • Gather market intelligence and track industry trends for assigned purchasing categories and potential opportunities.
  • Execute Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives within assigned spend categories.
  • Streamline department processes to improve productivity, work product quality, and stakeholder experience.
  • Build and maintain beneficial relationships with U.S. and Canadian counterparts, leveraging spend and standardizing programs for designated indirect spend categories.
  • Lead or support significant facilities management projects for organization.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies with goods/service providers while ensuring appropriate levels of management engagement and approval.
  • Establish and maintain beneficial relationships with suppliers.
  • Develop supplier scorecards; manage supplier performance and continuous improvement.


Job Duties

  • Provide effective oversight and leadership to staff.
  • Execute strategies and activities to reduce the company’s costs.
  • Facilitate contract development in conjunction with the Legal department.
  • Support the relationship between suppliers and internal business teams.
  • Report on functional projects/performance and provide updates to management staff.
  • Oversee local HQ facilities management activity, and lead or support projects at field locations.
  • Create annual budgets; track and manage expense to within budgets.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Purchasing organization certification preferred.
  • Facilities experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and communications skills required.
