The Legal & Compliance Administrator is responsible for providing support for the Commercial Law Group and the Employment Law Group in the Corporate Legal Department. Work in a highly collaborative environment as a valued member of our team!
This is a permanent full-time position at our Corporate Headquarters campus in the Midtown Corridor of Cleveland, OH.

Overview:

You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day general legal and compliance administration and managing our processes. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide variety of issues in the Corporate Legal Department and will learn to manage various areas, including the contract management database, export compliance process, consignment process, legal files, and other Legal Department processes to ensure clarity, compliance, best business practices.

Responsibilities:
•    Administration and maintenance of contract management database and other legal files 
•    Assist Compliance Analyst with export order administration, including conducting denied party screenings in various databases and researching potential matches, releasing blocked export orders in our ERP system, and completing related export filings
•    Manage U.S. and Canadian supplier questionnaires and consignment process 
•    Prepare and send employee non-compete reminder letters and draft cease and desist letters
•    Maintain all domain name registrations and bottled water licenses 
•    Act as main liaison and collaborate with other Corporate departments and service centers/subsidiaries
•    Track and maintain various processes, including recall notices, compliance matters, and Legal Department trainings.  Identify, recommend, and help implement process improvements.
•    General administrative duties (filing, initiating check requests, mail distribution, UPS, office supplies)
•    Special projects as needed

Qualifications:
•    1+ year proven administration skills including process improvement
•    Genuine interest in legal and compliance matters, and professional growth
•    Proven ability to learn new areas, use analytical and problem solving skills, organization skills
•    Interpersonal skills, fostering positive business relationships both in person and via phone / email
•    Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar
•    Strong computer skills including MS Office particularly Word & Excel
•    Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize while maintaining accuracy
•    Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast paced, fluid culture
•    Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines
•    High school diploma required; paralegal certification and/or associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
