Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant role is to work closely with the accounting teams of Applied’s subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely US GAAP accounting for the Company, and coordination with internal & external auditors.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for general accounting matters including account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, reconciliation of intercompany activity and end of month reporting matters.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for certain subsidiaries and coordinate subsidiary accounting & reporting activities with corporate, including quarterly review of subsidiary reporting packages.
  • Monthly/quarterly review of subsidiary account reconciliations.
  • Monitor worldwide compliance with accounting-related policies and procedures.
  • Work with worldwide entities to ensure they are providing complete, accurate, and thorough reporting packages as it relates to financial reporting.
  • Provide audit support as needed through regular interaction with internal and external auditors.
  • Responsible for assisting with various internal and external reporting requirements as needed.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a general or corporate accounting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a working knowledge of financial systems, statements and reports
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to work proactively with teams including a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and balance work in a deadline-driven environment with high level of responsibility and ownership.


  • Experience with SAP, BPC, Blackine
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – or actively pursuing
  • Spanish language skills
  • Knowledge of internal control procedures and the ability to design and maintain related internal controls
